R&D Manager - Pindstrup

Pindstrup brings growing media to market all over the world, and you will join our skilled R&D team. We are responsible for working closely with our sales organisation and for developing the products and solutions that support Pindstrup’s purpose:

You will be part of a highly experienced and collaborative team of five colleagues located in Denmark and the UK. At our headquarters in Pindstrup, you will join around 40 colleagues who contribute to a strong knowledge base and a supportive working environment.

Your role and areas of responsibility
Pindstrup has an ambition to constantly develop new and innovative solutions  for our portfolio. We do this by using new raw materials and by introducing new products.

The key focus of this role is to proactively identify opportunities and drive the creation of new products and customer solutions by transforming ideas, customer insights, and technical expertise into successful market offerings.

Your activities will include:

• Gathering customer needs, market trends and technical insights and translating these into product concepts and formulations
• Driving the development of new and improved products for specific horticultural applications
• Managing R&D activities in collaboration with test centres, as well as carrying out your own trials at Pindstrup facilities and at customer sites
• Evaluating and refining product performance using structured testing and validation methods
• Supporting and maintaining the R&D portfolio plan
• Participating in relevant forums within academia and the horticultural sector
• Collaborating across the Pindstrup Group and with customers worldwide

Your profile and experience
You have at least three years of relevant professional experience within horticulture, and preferably with growing media. You probably hold a degree in Horticulture, Agronomy, Biology or a similar field.

You are experienced in taking a product from an idea through development and testing and towards a finished product. You have a collaborative mindset and are driven by providing valid solutions to the business through cooperation, prioritisation and a focus on progress.

You are comfortable working with both technical and commercial aspects of product development and enjoy working with colleagues, customers and external partners.
